Welcome to The Studio Yoga and Barre. We’re a yoga, barre, aerial, and SUP yoga studio in the Iowa Great Lakes inside of Allure and Co. in downtown Spirit Lake, IA. We also sell popular brands like Alo and Lululemon in our shop.
View our classes, schedule a private, and more through Mindbody below. In the summer, we offer stand-up paddleboard yoga on West Lake Okoboji. Grab a drink, get on a board, and have some fun. Our new location’s tall ceilings have allowed us to install aerial silks, one of our favorite practices which we now offer at The Studio. Every skill level and everyone is welcome – come as you are (but with leggings, probably).

We’re Located in Downtown Spirit Lake
Our beautiful renovated studio is located in historic Downtown Spirit Lake, IA in the upstairs loft of Allure & Co. and Cafe Esteam. Come for yoga, stay for some coffee, gifts, and apparel.
Aerial Yoga
Aerial yoga is a unique, fun, and surprisingly beginner-friendly practice that we now offer at The Studio. Aerial yoga offers a new way to connect and experience yoga as you decompress your spine in the safety of the aerial silks. Check our schedule or contact us for a private or group aerial session.
Teacher Training

OUR CLASSES
Vinyasa (Flow) Yoga
“Vinyasa” is the Sanskrit word for “flow.” Known for its flowing movements that smoothly transition from pose to pose. Each class varies in style and intensity. Usually suitable for all experience levels. Helps and modifications given in class.
Barre Class
(All experience levels are welcome! Help and modifications given in class).
A combination of yoga, Pilates and weight training, set to motivating music! The goal is a full-body workout that includes cardio, coordination, flexibility AND muscle shaping. Some of the moves incorporate the dance bar to help with balance. Equipment is used, including small weights and resistance bands.
Yoga Basics
Focuses on basic philosophy, postures and techniques of yoga. Extra time is given to definitions, explanations, and help with poses and movements. Good for beginners!
SUP Yoga
Yoga on the water! We do our poses on Stand-Up-Paddleboards. We all link together and enjoy the beauty of the lake. No experience needed. The worst thing that can happen is falling into West Lake Okoboji! Come have fun with us!
Gentle Yoga
Great for those beginning their practice or for those who don’t want a physically demanding workout. Extra time is given to stretching, as well as explanation of and help with poses.
Strong Flow Yoga
Much like Vinyasa, but with time spent on holding poses for strength and balance. We will also breakdown certain poses to work on proper alignment and technique.
Power Yoga
(Not currently offered)
A fast paced flow, with an emphasis on poses that increase strength, stamina and flexibility — while reducing stress. Perfect if you want a good “workout!”
Yin Yoga
A slow-paced style that holds poses for long periods of time (with a focus on breathing). Yin targets the connective tissues (joints and ligaments) and is a compliment to the high-paced forms of exercise that work muscles.
